My idea for this drawing originally started as a moth resting on a skull in such a way that the eye spots on its wings line up with where the eye sockets of the skull would be.
Errant on Mastodon left a comment on this piece that completely changed the way I thought of it:
The mischievous Reanimoth, cursed by necromancers and museum curators alike.
Now I can't stop thinking of a moth with necromancer magic. When it lines it's eye spots up with the eyes of the skeleton, it can bring the skeleton to life and control it. This is one of the best things about sharing art with the world. People can come up with such interesting insights and stories about the piece that alter the artists own perception of it.
