This early production document helped us define the architectural style of the Raslan city. The art style wasn't set at that time, but we were already trying to have an innovative look in the shape language of the buildings. We gathered many references in the process: taking elements from ancient civilisations (Sumer, Indus Valley, Shibam, Ancient Ethiopia...) mixed with more unusual (and sometimes nonsensical) architectures from all kinds of artists (Minoru Nomata, Peter Gric, Ricardo Bofill...)
Even though the architectural style evolved throughout the production of the game, we tried to keep the sense of scale and wonder conveyed in this document.
